Nature Camp

Every Summer Wasatch State Park offers a wonderful Nature Camp for children ages 5 to 12. During the two hour sessions, held weekly for six weeks, the children learn to recognize, understand, experience and most importantly, respect nature.  Through fun and interactive projects the children learn about wildlife, plants, trees and fish; their function and relationship with each other so they each can survive. Projects involving edible dirt, bird houses, adopt a tree, animal tracks, animal fur and droppings make learning fun for the students. This program is a wonderful way to teach our children appreciate and respect nature and to enjoy the beauty that surrounds them. 

Public Awareness and Education is a vital component of our mission. Financial and volunteer support of the Wasatch Mountain State Park Nature Camp program is just one way we accomplish our goal.
