             Snowshoe Adventures

January 29th and February 26th Full Moon Snowshoe Hikes were two of the most beautiful winter evenings you could wish for. Close to 100 hikers from surrounding communities along with Friends members participated   each month. They split into groups of beginner, intermediate and experienced levels to enjoy the quiet evening and beautiful scenery of the Wasatch Mountain State Park. The beginners ventured out on the Lake Golf Course Trail, intermediate level conquered the Visitor Center Trail, and the experienced drove up Snake Creek Canyon to find a trailhead and hike that included singing, sliding and snowshoeing rugged terrain.

All three groups left the Visitor Center about 7:30 pm and after an hour or two returned to a warm cozy fire, hot drinks and snacks provided by Friends of Wasatch.

A wonderful time was had by all participants, and we look forward to another round of full moon snowshoe adventures next year.
