Hi Friends:

As I write this message in mid March, parts of the Heber Valley are still buried in snow, but Friends, we need to start thinking spring. We have a great calendar of events planned for 2008 and we hope Mother Nature will favor us with good weather for them.  The date is already set for our second annual fall fundraiser, and the planning committee is hard at work.  We have a spring garden cleanup at the park plus our usual summer hikes.  This year we will be participating in two local parades. Plan now to turn out and enjoy all of the fun things the Friends will be doing this year.

Sad to say we’re losing one of our Board Members this year.  Don Taylor, Hiking Director, has accepted a new job in Moab and will be unable to continue his Board position.  If you are interested in serving as the Friends Hiking Director, please give any current Board Member a call and volunteer.
