As an official partner of Wasatch Mountain State Park, The Friends provide vital support to the park. They preserve and protect the historical and ecological integrity of the park through public awareness and education, and promote the development of responsible recreational opportunities and facilities for present and future generations.
As a member, you will help fund numerous critical activities and programs at Wasatch Mountain State Park:
• Build, enhance and maintain trails - most recently the improvement of the Huber Grove Trail
• Enhance picnic and parking areas – most recently adding parking, a new covered pavilion and covered picnic sites at Huber Grove
• Acquire needed equipment for park activities such as snow shoes, fishing gear, playground equipment and trail maintenance tools
• Enhance the educational facilities within the Visitor Center such as the wildlife murals
• Design and enhance garden areas around the visitor center
• Organize community activities that promote the park such as the moonlight snowshoe hikes
• Fund the publication of the park’s brochure
These and many other programs at Wasatch Mountain State Park would not be possible without the support of The Friends. The Friends have been committed to leading and funding programs that sustain the park’s beauty and community benefits for everyone to enjoy.
