“Volunteer of the Year 2007”

The Friends of Wasatch are delighted to announce that the 2007
Volunteer of The Year Award goes to the 2007 Fundraising Committee.
This is the group of women who worked tirelessly to put on our
fabulous Night In the Country Dinner Dance Fundraiser on September 22
of this year. Their efforts resulted in a sellout attendance for a
wonderful evening that raised more than $12,000 to begin construction
of the new Huber Grove Trail. Our sincere thanks and congratulations
go to committee members Marianne Wicks (Committee Chair), Kris Beer,
Leslie Oksner, Kathy Sheehan, Shelly Stephenson, and Pat Sullivan.
Katy White, Friends President, served as an ex officio member of the
committee!

“Mountain Bike Hall of Fame 2007”

Don Taylor, Trails Coordinator for the Friends, was nominated in 2007 to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Don helped develop mountain bike trails  and races in Park City and has worked on hiking and biking trails in the Dutch Hollow portion of Wasatch Mountain State Park. Congratulations, Don.
