Christmas Party

Annual Christmas Party

Tuesday, December 4, 2007, was the date for the annual Holiday Party of the Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park. More than seventy members and guests enjoyed a holiday social hour and dinner in the
beautiful setting of the Soldier Hollow Day Lodge. Following dinner The Silhouettes (The Cass Ho Trio) entertained guests with a Christmas program of old and new musical selections. (Photo attached showing

In September the Friends hosted a major fundraising dinner and silent auction at the State Park Chalet to raise funds for the construction of a new non-motorized walking trail in the Park. A sellout crowd of
more than one hundred guests attended this event. The event raised $12,000 for trail construction.

At the Holiday Party the Friends presented the check for $12,000 to Bruce Strom, Wasatch Mountain State Park Manager. Cathleen White, President of the Friends, made the presentation. The Friends also honored members of the Fundraising Committee that planned the September event by awarding the committee the honor of Volunteer of the Year for 2007.
