Board of Directors
President's Message
Now that fall is approaching I’m looking back and thinking where have the months gone and what has been accomplished. We started out the year by fine tuning our membership renewal process which is a great success. After two well attended snow shoe hikes in January and February, in May we initiated a sales campaign for State Park Golf Course advertising. Over a dozen local businesses are participating.
Thanks to donations, fundraising and memberships this year we have been able to support all the requests from the park staff for park improvements and projects. With State Parks stretched budgets and limited staff it is our goal to increasingly help. We are small but can have a large impact. As a Friend’s group we need to continually grow our relationship with the park and the community using the park. What exactly is our capacity? Our strength lies in the numbers of members and active volunteers.
Spread the word about what a great group we are and all the good work we do.
Remember to take a Hike every day!
Best Regards,
Marianne Wicks
