Wasatch State Park Has Advertising Opportunities for Businesses
Businesses can now advertise at Wasatch and Soldier Hollow golf courses. Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park are offering advertising space at Wasatch and Soldier Hollow Golf Courses for both 2012 and 2013 seasons. Advertising space can be purchased for tee marker and tee bench signs on the Lake and Mountain courses, and on the golf carts at both Wasatch and Soldier Hollow.
With 100,000 rounds of golf played at Wasatch and 50,000 rounds played at Soldier Hollow, “businesses have a significant opportunity to promote their company name,” says Bruce Strom, Park Manager.
The Friends is an all-volunteer 501c (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist in preserving and protecting the Park resources and to promote its recreational and educational opportunities, and facilities. 100% of the money generated by this advertising program goes directly to benefit the Park. 25% will help fund golf course maintenance and improvements, and 75% will contribute to trail and facility improvements.
As an added incentive for businesses that purchase golf course advertising, they will also receive additional name recognition at the Wasatch golf course club house and at the Wasatch Park visitor center, in which 17,600 annual visitors were recorded last year.
Businesses that purchase advertising for both this year and next year will have the additional benefit of having their ad featured in the Park’s campground map that is distributed to over 10,000 campers.
Cecil Duvall, owner of Café Galleria in Midway, advertised last year and is going to advertise again this year. He states that “advertising at both Wasatch and Soldier Hollow golf courses has a two-fold benefit: great exposure for the Café and at the same time supporting our park and community.”
For further information about advertising, contact the Wasatch Park Visitor Center at 435/654-1791 or Bill Handler, Friends volunteer 770/843-3131.
